Use this test to get an accurate test of your Korean vocabulary. The test takes between 5 – 10 minutes and at the end you will receive a score indicating how many words you are estimated to know. Take the test now.
Knowing how many words you know is good to know just for fun, but it will also help you estimate what TOPIK (Test of Proficiency in Korean) level you are likely at. TOPIK performance is strongly dependent on vocabulary, arguably much more so than grammar. The table below provides an approximation between TOPIK level and vocabulary size.
Vocabulary Size | TOPIK Level |
Up to 800 | 1 |
800 – 2000 | 2 |
2000 – 3000 | 3 |
3000 – 4000 | 4 |
4000 – 5000 | 5 |
Over 5000 | 6 |
